A Malaysian bag manufacturer, one ABA line already running well — and in August 2026, a 1,400 mm single-layer LDPE film blowing machine holding over 100 kg/h at 100 microns.
AT A GLANCE
| Customer | Plastic bag manufacturer |
| Market | Malaysia |
| Relationship | Second machine — the first was an ABA film blowing line |
| Equipment | 1,400 mm single-layer LDPE film blowing machine with gravimetric dosing and mixing unit |
| Delivered | August 2026 |
| Output | Stable above 100 kg/h at 100 micron film thickness |
A SECOND ORDER, NOT A FIRST
This customer is a plastic bag manufacturer in Malaysia. They did not come to us as a new buyer — they came back. Their first machine from us was an ABA film blowing line, and it had performed well enough on their floor that when capacity needed to grow again, they did not go looking elsewhere.
That is the part of this story worth reading twice. A first order can be won on price, on a specification sheet, or on a good impression. A second order is placed by someone who has already lived with the machine, run it in their own conditions, and decided they would rather repeat the experience than test a new supplier.
| 2nd Machine from us | 600-1,300 mm Film width, single layer | 120+ kg/h At 100 micron thickness |
02 THE TWO ORDERS
Two machines, two jobs — together covering both the multi-layer and the plain LDPE side of the customer’s bag production.
| Order 01 ABA film blowing line A three-layer ABA line, the first machine the customer bought from us. It ran well and set the expectation for everything that followed. | Order 02 1,400 mm single-layer LDPE Delivered August 2026, with the new gravimetric dosing and mixing unit fitted as standard. |
03 THE MACHINE
A 1,400 mm single-layer LDPE film blowing machine, specified for steady high output rather than peak numbers on a datasheet — and paired with a newly designed weighing and mixing unit ahead of the extruder.
| EQUIPMENT | ROLE IN THE LINE |
| 1,400 mm single-layer die | Produces LDPE film up to 1,400 mm wide, with output holding above 100 kg/h at 100 micron thickness in day-to-day production. |
| Gravimetric dosing & mixing unit | Weighs resin and masterbatch before they reach the extruder, so colour is metered by actual weight instead of by volume — less masterbatch for the same result. |
| Stable film formation | Thickness deviation across the web is noticeably tighter than on the customer’s older equipment, so less material is needed to stay inside spec. |
The dosing unit is the quiet upgrade here. Masterbatch is one of the few costs in a bag plant that is paid every single hour the line runs, and metering it by weight rather than by scoop takes that cost off guesswork. The gain is small per kilogram and large per year.
04 DELIVERY & INSTALLATION
The machine shipped in August 2026 and was erected at the customer’s plant using their own forklifts — frame first, then the platform, then the die and take-off assembly lifted into place on top.
05 PERFORMANCE ON THE FLOOR
Once the line was commissioned, the numbers held. At 100 micron film thickness the machine settles above 100 kg/h and stays there — not a burst figure taken on a good run, but the rate the customer plans production around.
— Output holds steadily above 100 kg/h on 100 micron film.
— The new weighing and mixing unit cut masterbatch consumption, metering colour by weight instead of by volume.
— Thickness deviation across the web came down noticeably, so film can be run closer to nominal without risking off-spec rolls.
— Against the customer’s older equipment, the difference is immediate and visible on the same factory floor.
06 CLOSING
A machine that performs is the reason a customer calls back. This plant now runs an ABA line and a 1,400 mm single-layer LDPE line side by side, both from us, and both chosen by someone who had already seen what our equipment does in their own building.
If you are planning to add film blowing capacity or replace an ageing line, feel free to contact us. From a single machine to a full production line, we can walk the journey with you.
